Solo corrió 9 carreras de ese campeonato debutando en el Gran Premio de Argentina de 1979 y se le puso fin al proyecto en el Grand Prix de Italia del mismo año. Cuatro carreras corrió John Watson (con el número 7) y ocho Patrick Tambay (con el número 8 en su auto).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;El Motor era un Ford-Cosworth DFV 3.0 V8 y los neumáticos Goodyear. En 10 carreras lo patrocinó la tabacalera Marlboro (cuando todavía se podía colocar el nombre del cigarrillo y fumar no era perjudicial para la salud :P ) y en 2 carreras lo patrocinó la firma Lowenbrau (una marca de cervezas). La mejor ubicación que consiguió durante 1979 fue un 3er puesto y nada más. Este McLaren M28 no fue la excepción. A pesar de no haber sido rodado nunca, las marcas de la humedad hicieron lo suyo. El modelo es de 1979 y no quise sacarle ni siquiera la marcas/manchas/mugre que pudo haber adquirido en estos 30 años. No me traten de sucio. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;La escala es 1:66 , el cuerpo es de metal, la base de plastico negro y las ruedas también de plástico negro. El sistema de rodamiento es muy precario (al igual que la mayoría de los modelos Galgo de ese entonces). Tanto es así que con el paso del tiempo si no rodaban quedaban estáticos (quizá producto del oxido que se le formaban en los ejes o por estar muy pegados la base con el chasis). &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Es blanco con calcos negros y rojos. Tiene inscripto "Marlboro" en ambos costados, en el alerón trasero y en la parte delantera del auto. (a pesar que también lo sponsoreaban Castrol, Champion, Goodyear y la misma Marlboro. El N° 7 (de John Watson) se observa a ambos lados y en la parte superior del auto. Cualquier comentario o sugerencia no duden en escribir. Pero bueno estamos ante la presencia de un modelo con casi 30 años de vida. La tampografía era inexistente por lo cual solo se aplicaba calcas y sobre estas una mano de laca para otorgarle esa brillantez al modelo terminado.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;En los modelos cuyos colores eran blancos eran muy común que los calcos que se les aplicaban terminaban teniendo un color amarillento (producto de la vejez del pegamento).
